WE ARE NOT AUTHORISED TO ORDER PRESCRIPTIONS OVER THE PHONE. ‍
Prescriptions can be collected after 48 hours either by yourself or a local pharmacy.
If you provide a STAMPED, SELF ADDRESS ENVELOPE with your order, we can post your prescription to your home.
This is when the Doctor gives you a prescription on an one off basis.
Unfortunately, these cannot be ordered via Patient access or The NHS app, and you will have to speak to a clinician before you can get some more.
‍
It is practice policy that patients are regularly reviewed when taking medication on a long-term basis. Your review date can be found at the bottom of the right-hand side of your prescription.
Please make an appointment when your review is due.
If you request medication after your review date, we will be unable to prescribe you more medications until you have been reviewed by one of our clinicians.
‍
If you are unable to come into the surgery to order/ collect a prescription personally, a pharmacy can do it on your behalf.
If you choose to use a Pharmacy, it is important that we have your signed consent authorising them to do this for you.
If the pharmacy is not in the local area, we can send the prescription back to them electronically, and you can collect your medications directly from the pharmacy.
If you have problems getting to a pharmacy, most local pharmacies in the area will be happy to collect prescriptions on your behalf and deliver the medication straight to your doorstep!
